Exploring the Powerhouse: A Review of the “BRZRKR” Series

1 Mins read

Recently, there has been a trend of Hollywood celebrities creating new comic book characters. Wesley Snipes and Oscar Isaac have both done this. It’s always interesting to see the results, even if they aren’t memorable.

The gold standard for this type of comic has finally arrived. Keanu Reeves, Matt Kindt, and Ron Garney have created one of the most impressive comics over the past few years.

Reeves has a lot to say about this.

Reeves has become a real collaborator, not just a name who might throw in a few suggestions and allow his likeness to be used for comics. Reeves has been in the trenches with Matt Kindt co-writing the story of the B.

B, also known as Berzerker (short), is a legendary immortal that has fought through centuries.

B’s “lives” are revealed to us. Each of these “lives” has resulted in violence. B then signed on with the United States Government to go out on missions. The government will then research B’s past in order to finally end his life.

Unute is B’s true name, thanks to Dr. Caldwell. Caldwell begins to dig deeper into B’s past as the show progresses. We see Dr. Caldwell’s ulterior motive as he goes. Unute could be used for an evil and devious purpose.

This series allows Ron Garney to produce his most impressive artwork. Garney is a pro. Garney can create action scenes that are both clear and violent. The dramatic scenes are no problem for him either. He is able to capture all the different emotions in the novel.

Reeves & Kindt, on the other hand, write a book which is both violent and soulful. The authors take some huge risks in telling the story, and all of them are successful. This book uses some well-known tropes, and the team behind it does an amazing job at turning them upside down. This is a great comic book debut and one of the most entertaining reads you’ll have in recent years.
