Exploring Superhero Goodies: A Sneak Peek at SuperHeroStuff’s Funko Pops!

I usually check out SuperHeroStuff.com for their large selection of t-shirts, but this time, I decided to take a look at some other items, Funko Pops! vinyls.  Pop! vinyls are available in case you live in caves (which is strange, unless you’re in the Batcave – in which case it’s a win). vinyls are approximately 4″ tall figures that have been produced in virtually ever major pop culture license (and many, many obscure ones).

I have a small collection, but I love them. SuperHeroStuff carries a limited selection of Pops that are focused on the cape-and-tights characters.

SuperHeroStuff offers more than just shirts or Pops!  They also sell hats and hoodies, underwear and socks, action figures and stickers, buttons and belts, wallets and cardboard standups. There are also many other items, including a large selection for women and children.

 Superman Pop Heroes Vinyl Figure

I decided to focus on DC characters this time and honestly, it doesn’t get any more iconic than the original Man of Steel with his red trunks.  Recently, we’ve seen too many visual variations of the character (New 52). Man of Steel The Last Son of Krypton is a great movie, but this look has been worn by the Last Son of Krypton since 1938.

Batman Pop Heroes Vinyl Figure

Batman’s costumes have been altered over the years by the stylistic influences that the artist has brought to the character.  This is what I would call a modern neutral and is reminiscent to the look first introduced by David Mazzucchelli back in Batman: Year one.

Wonder Woman Funko Pop Vinyl Invisible Jet Figure

The Amazonian princess completes the DC Universe trinity of criminals.  This one is beyond awesome with a 4″ Wonder Woman and an Invisible Plane to sail to and fro from her home on Paradise Island to the man’s world where she is fighting for our rights, in her satin tights, and the old red, white and blue!

Batman Beyond Pop Vinyl Figure

These Pop figures can make even the most intimidating figures in pop culture history look ridiculously attractive. Take the incredibly adorable Batman Beyond. Terry McGuinness is the future Batman. He wears a suit designed by Bruce Wayne.

This figure is prepared to protect Gotham City in the future.

Firestorm Funko Pop Vinyl Figure

The comic book version is much more interesting than the television version. Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein were created by Gerry Conway & Al Milgrom. Firestorm was one of the DC icons introduced in the Seventies. His early membership in the Justice League, and appearances on The Animated Series also helped to make him an icon. Superfriends: Galactic Guardians He has become a fan favorite.

Power Girl Funko Pop Vinyl Figure

Two words: boob Window

She was originally created as Superman’s cousin from Earth 2, but she soon became DC’s cheesecake character.  Power Girl, who shares the same powers as her Kryptonian counterpart, debuted in the Seventies DC Implosion and continues to be reinterpreted by fans as a strong woman character.   She also has a boob-window, which makes feminists and misogynists very happy.

Cyborg Funko Pop Vinyl Figure

Cyborg is the current star of his own comic book and a founding member of the New 52 edition of the Justice League.  But that’s definitely not my Cyborg.
